The 2003 Loadmaster Classic Vintage snowmobile racing Weekend on January 11th & 12th, 2003 in Eagle River, WI, was a roaring success in more ways than one. With the whine of finely tuned classic sleds, the smell of snowmobile racing fuel, and the enthusiasm of the crowd and participants, what more could you ask for? You know it’s going to be an exciting weekend when the start of the first snowmobile race has a crash that takes out nearly half of the sleds! If you thought vintage snowmobiles went out on the track to show their shiny paint, you were wrong–these sleds run hard and fast, just like the old days.
