Skiroule snowmobiles were manufactured and marketed by the Coleman Company, Inc. that still specialize in outdoor recreation products. The original creator of Skiroule, Rejean Houle, of Wickham, Quebec, was a 20-year-old snowmobile enthusiast who took his idea to a final product, then sold it to Coleman. Produced in Quebec, Canada, Skiroule snowmobiles were produced from 1966 until 1977.
The Skiroule photo below is of a 1971 RT-500 sport model snowmobile. It has 440 Sachs engine and features the company’s 1971 styling change that modernized the hoods —making the Skiroule sleds the “green bullets.” The RT model (and RTXs), in particular, were popular for snowmobilers looking for speed on the trail or the race track.
